ZR185R Rotary Drilling Rig
Rotary drilling rigs are foundation drilling equipment used to create boreholes for pile foundations on building, bridge, and urban rail construction projects. During drilling, a rotating drilling tool cuts through the ground and removes material until the hole reaches the required pile diameter and pile depth. The borehole can then receive a reinforcement cage before concrete pouring forms the bored pile that supports the structure.
The drilling tool needs to match the ground condition at the jobsite, since soil, sand, and rock each require a different approach to drilling. The required pile diameter and pile depth also affect how the borehole is made. In case the ground cannot hold the sides of the hole open, casing provides support while drilling and pile construction continue.
