ZOOMLION knuckle boom cranes are truck-mounted lifting equipment with multiple articulated boom sections that fold and unfold to lift and position loads. The hydraulic system bends and straightens the articulated boom sections to lift, move, and position loads. These loader cranes can lift cargo onto or off the truck and position equipment or materials for installation, including in confined spaces where the boom needs to bend to reach the load's intended position.

  • These ZOOMLION knuckle boom cranes, a type of truck-mounted lifting equipment, have a specially designed chassis that helps them maneuver in limited spaces thanks to a smaller turning radius. The chassis design also distributes weight more evenly across the axles and helps reduce maintenance costs.
  • Their overall height is 4.0 m, and the platform is 2.55 m wide, dimensions that help assess clearance along access routes. The cranes weigh 36 tons in total, with a 17-ton counterweight.
  • During lifting, the outriggers extend to an 8.4 m span to provide a broad base of support. For travel over changes in ground slope, the chassis has a 13° departure angle for clearance beneath the rear of the vehicle.
  • The eight-section telescopic boom reaches a working radius of 19.6 m at −5°, slightly below horizontal, and the maximum lifting moment with the basic boom is 2,377 kN·m.
  • Hydraulic power comes from a variable-displacement piston pump and a gear pump at a rated system pressure of 33 MPa. Two lift cylinders provide the force to raise the boom.
  • Inside the fully enclosed cab, an HD central display and a rearview camera help the driver monitor information and see behind the vehicle, while a sleeper berth provides space to rest between jobs.
  • The standard remote control has a 5-inch touchscreen for vehicle and crane operation. For information about the lift, the separate load moment indicator has a 7-inch color touchscreen and recommends operating configurations.
  • Standard safety features include a virtual wall system, a load moment limiter, and a vehicle stability system.
