ZOOMLION knuckle boom cranes are truck-mounted lifting equipment with multiple articulated boom sections that fold and unfold to lift and position loads. The hydraulic system bends and straightens the articulated boom sections to lift, move, and position loads. These loader cranes can lift cargo onto or off the truck and position equipment or materials for installation, including in confined spaces where the boom needs to bend to reach the load's intended position.

  • Our knuckle boom cranes, model ZAK120000V663, have a dedicated ZOOMLION chassis and an unladen weight of 60 tons. Their 2.8 m-wide platform and 8.4 m outrigger span provide a broad base for lifting over the rear or sides of the vehicle and reaching beyond obstacles.
  • Their five-section telescopic boom lifts up to 220 tons at a working radius of 4.5 m. At the maximum working radius of 17.25 m, lifting capacity is 44 tons.
  • These mobile cranes can be equipped with an optional 70-ton counterweight whose telescoping mechanism allows its position to be adjusted.
  • All-wheel steering provides six steering modes, so the cranes can turn and reposition in different ways as space permits. The all-terrain chassis also includes oleo-pneumatic suspension to accommodate uneven ground.
  • Their overall length is 12.8m and their turning radius is 9.2m, which help the cranes maneuver in confined work areas.
  • The hydraulic system is equipped with variable-displacement pumps and load-sensing control valves to match oil flow to each crane movement, while the telescopic cylinders extend and retract the boom sections in a controlled sequence.
  • Equipped with overload protection to limit lifting operation when it's beyond the permitted capacity, while a tip-over alarm warns of instability.
  • The virtual wall function sets limits on how far the crane can move to keep it within the defined work area, while slewing-area load limits control how much weight it can lift according to the direction the boom faces.
