ZT118EV Mining Dump Truck

ZOOMLION ZT118EV electric mining dump trucks carry up to 80 tons of bulk material per trip for small and medium-sized mining operations. They have a payload capacity of approximately 14.3% higher than that of a 70-ton haul truck, so each trip can move an additional 10 tons when fully loaded. These mining trucks can be supplied with several battery capacity options, so mine operators can choose one based on how far the trucks travel, how steep the haul roads are, and how much material they need to move each day.

  • Powerful Electric Drive
    Two permanent magnet synchronous motors deliver 540 kW of continuous power and 800 kW at peak output. The power flows smoothly during gear changes with a six-speed mining AMT transmission.

    The CATL mining battery system comes with a standard 800 kWh capacity, IP68 protection and a service life of 4,500 charge-discharge cycles. Different battery capacities are available to suit specific mining conditions.
  • Reliable Braking on Steep Roads
    Regenerative braking, an eddy-current retarder and pneumatic drum brakes provide reliable control on long descents, even when the battery is fully charged. Emergency steering and high-voltage insulation monitoring add extra safety.
  • Heavy-Duty Construction
    A high-strength welded frame, adjustable hydropneumatic suspension and reinforced axles gives it a durable structure to handle repeated heavy loads. The haul truck also offers wear-resistant U-shaped dump bodies in 41 m³ and 50 m³ capacities.

    ZT118EV electric mining dump trucks have a drive-by-wire chassis that supports future autonomous operation. And 5G connectivity enables the heavy equipment for remote diagnostics, energy monitoring, automatic weighing and haulage dispatch.
