ZOOMLION topless hydraulic luffing jib tower cranes are used on high-rise buildings, commercial complexes, and urban construction sites where space is limited. Hydraulic cylinders control the jib angle and working radius, which allows the jib to be raised or lowered according to the lifting requirements and available space. On crowded jobsites, the jib can be raised to a steeper angle to reduce the space needed for slewing, particularly when working close to surrounding buildings or other structures.
These ZOOMLION tower cranes are used to lift and install structural steel sections, precast concrete components, and other large construction materials at elevated working areas. When selecting a crane for a particular project, contractors need to consider its lifting capacity, tip load, maximum working radius, available installation space, and luffing speed. On worksites that have several tower cranes operating close to each other, their positions must be carefully planned to maintain safe clearances between them.
Unlike conventional luffing jib cranes, these hydraulic models have no separate A-frame, luffing winch, or rope-and-pulley system. The jib root section and hydraulic cylinder form one assembly, while the hydraulic pump unit and counter-jib are transported together. Fewer individual components need to be handled during erection and maintenance, and the lighter, more compact parts are easier to transport. During dismantling, individual jib sections can be removed at height using auxiliary equipment, without having to lower the entire jib to the ground.
